If youre having trouble with your MMS service a quick restart can often do the trick! Heres how:

  1. Turn your phone off completely.

  2. Wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.

This simple step refreshes your devices connections and can resolve many common glitches.
If you are still experiencing trouble with your MMS service, the steps below may help.

Troubleshooting Steps

Take the following steps to troubleshoot your MMS services:

1. Confirm you are on a plan that includes MMS.

  • If you are on a Prepaid service that does not include MMS, ensure you have enough balance to cover the cost of using this service.

  • If your plan does not include MMS within the area you are trying to use the MMS service within, you will be charged pay per use rates.

2. Confirm the MMS you are trying to send is within the maximum MMS size limit.

  • The Freedom Mobile network will support MMS up to a maximum or 2MB however your device may have a limit of 1MB.

  • We recommend checking your device's user manual to confirm the maximum MMS size your device will support.

3. If using MMS in the Nationwide area or internationally, ensure you have data enabled. MMS uses data while in the Nationwide area and internationally. Note: You will be charged at a per MB rate for using MMS.

4. Confirm you are using the correct format to send the MMS. Refer to the guide below for details:

  • To send a national MMS: [AREA CODE] + [NUMBER]

  • To send an international MMS: [+] + [COUNTRY CODE] + [NUMBER]

Reset Mobile Network Settings

As a final step, we recommend resetting the Mobile Network Setting on your phone. Don’t worry—this won’t delete your photos, contacts, or other data, but you may need to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords and reconnect Bluetooth devices.
