Securing your Wireless (Wi-Fi) Network

Your home Wi-Fi network can be set to either protected or open. Having an open network means that anyone within range of your network can connect and use your Internet service. A protected network asks for a password anytime someone tries to connect.

During initial setup, you should be prompted to set a network name and password of your choice for your Wi-Fi network.
